I'm not trying to support anyone, but as scuba equipment gets better and more
advanced, the standards can be lowered. It used to be you had to know how to
swim, now they have BC's that provide your buoyancy.
As regulators get better, the physical requirements allow a broader variety
of individuals to enjoy diving.
Again, you need to look at this as diving is evolving into SPORT RECREATIONAL
diving, not commercial diving or military diving as it once was.
