And, my husband & I nearly died laughing over this one:
The Buddhist monks in Hong Kong were busy praying for the
SOULS of all the dead fowl...
We normally try to be respectful toward the beliefs of those
we differ with -- but we just could not contain ourselves over
that, and we just LOST it!
It makes me wonder... Do they pray for the animals who DO make
it to the lofty goal of being someone's food? Or do they just
pray for the critters who never "make the cut" as food?
Anyway, I prefer thanking the L-RD for my food (I'm a grateful
carnivore!) ... I just can't fathom praying for the "soul" of
my sirloin! hehehe...
