Geometry and algebra are probably the most used forms of math...and I never
had
any question as to why I was studying those...I could see the uses. The only
"why are we studying this?" I ever felt regarding math was the "proof
statements" we always had to write next to each step of a problem. They still
seem like a waste of time to me.
The subjects I've seen people complain about have been history, english, some
science...those are best taught in a more practical setting: history as
background for current news items; english as communication skills (letter
writing, speach making, journals and stories, ect.)
