Hi Shawn,
Shawn Highfield wrote in a message to Richard Webb:

the lady referred to above I met through a guitar player in a band I worked
with. HIs wife and she attended nursing school together. We dated casually
then to be honest fell into bed together a few times, then she started
making serious noises so I backed away. First, she had a kid still of
elementary school age, and i wasn't interested in anything to do with
raising kids. I was totally into the stereotype musician's lifestyle at the
time.
One I'm with now that I described later in my post has kids but they're all
grown, and (supposedly) away from mommy.
SH> Wow, that is different! Andrea and I met in a band her (at the
SH> time) boyfriend
SH> and I started. She was the singer / lead guitar player while I was
SH> the second guitar and head song writer. Her and my friend broke up
SH> but the band stayed together, and one day I gave her a ride home on
SH> my motorcycle, and we just started riding together and next thing
SH> you know she was at my house more then her own.
My second wife sang with my band for awhile, but I don't mix romance and
professional music organizations anymore. AS soon as I show up and find
that even the sound person is a musician's significant other I cringe.
I find either the musical activities get in the way of the love life, or
the love life does not good things to the musical organization. AS you can
gather I'm very serious about music. That's why I stay on the audience end
of the snake or the other end when I play music I'm extremely serious about
getting a good sound and playing well done arrangements.
Regards,
Richard
... Amazing how much tape is on a 10" reel when it's not.
