HI Shawn,

Yah, I already had two kids that were teenagers at that point by first
wife. ON reliving our youthful days as musicians: It was so darned much
fun though . I can say honestly through all that I got to see all
50 of the United states, met a lot of interesting people, had more fun than
the law ought to allow, and some of it the law doesn't. I'm lucky, I lived
through it all.

tEll you when I miss second wife is when I'm recording. Wow man that woman
had some pipes, and all I had to do was play her a harmony line on the
keyboard and she was off with it. Man what a set of pipes!!! Miss that wall
of vocal harmonies thanks to overdubs with just her voice.
SH> She's younger then I am so is still convinced she can "make it",

SH> and then have a couple drinks afterwards to put the fire out.
Know that feeling. There at the last in NEw ORleans when I wasn't playing
piano bars I'd wrestle the Leslie cabinet, the single manual Hammond and my
other keyboards. Got arthritis in the knees and all sorts of other places.
DOn't have it in the hands yet, Thanks the good lord.
Given up on the "make it" dream though I"ve written a bunch
of songs over the years. You get curious about a few of them my buddy Steve
streams some of his favorites from one of my cd's on 14300.net.
tHese days my lady and I do a remote audio truck, 24 track digital
multi-track recording and totally compatible with the broadcast folks that
might want to broadcast the concert. I just enjoy playing some good jazz
and blues piano and a bit of organ if there's a good hammond around these
days.
SH> Never does. I've had my share of breakups because the band was
SH> more important then the girl. :)
ME too. WArned this one when we were still at the go out for coffee once
or twice a week stage that the music was always priority one. SHe was OK
with that.
IN fact, about a year after we'd been doing the go for coffee things she
asked "is this going anywhere?" I told her I hadn't really
thought about it. SHe'd been dropping hints even to friends of mine. YEt
with those hints she said "I don't do weekends." I let her knoiw
that "I don't do relationships."
SO here we are ten years later. GUess it's a long weekend . From
her pov I changed my mind I guess. THink I did to be honest with you.
Regards,
Richard
... Amazing how much tape is on a 10" reel when it's not.
