subject: Sharks

-> I am a native of Florida and have did some free diving in its waters.
-> As for sharks you can dive with them if you want, but I do not feel
-> safe doing so. I also would like to remind all divers that in WWII a
-> lot of good persons got killed by sharks. Grusome, but mabe this will
-> make a person think. A lot of sailors were eaten from their
-> lifejackets down. Just the top of them were left. Ask any old seaman
-> who was around then and they will tell you the same. In otherwards I
-> do not trust sharks.

Generally Sharks want nothing to do with you. The only sharks that are
a big problem for humans is the Great White, as that is about the only
shark that would care to eat a human. Tiger sharks have been known to
attack people as well but a Tiger shark isn't really interested in
eating a person. Most sharks will leave you alone if you are willing to
leave them alone. Not ALL sharks are a threat to people, in fact there
are sharks that are herbovors. Some sharks are OK to dive with (or at
least to dive in the same area as them).
