GM> JE> Then those that haven't been following too close might be
GM> JE> a bit lost.

GM>True. But if they missed some of the earlier messages, they'd be
GM>lost anyway, unless every message quoted the whole of the one it
GM>was replying to, including all the quotes that were in that
GM>message, and the quotes of quotes, and the quotes of quotes of
GM>quotes, and so on ad infinitum.

GM>I've known threads to go on for months, with maybe fifty postings
GM>along the line. It would be impracticable to quote all of them.

GM>So where do you suggest would be a good place to draw the line?

I suggest we continue as we have been doing. The main thing
I would like to see happen is changing the SUBJECT (when)
the subject actually changes. Like right now with this
message (which I am purposely not changing the subject).

GM>I hold to the view that I'll only quote what I think is
GM>immediately relevant to my reply, but I'd like to hear your
GM>views. I won't necessarily agree with you.

Neither does my wife - so what else is new for me?

GM>OTOH maybe your way is better, but I won't know until you tell
GM>me how you think we should work it.

GM>Meanwhile, I wish a Joyous Christmas to you and all your kin and
GM>friends. I hope we can have a long and happy correspondence.

And a merry Christmas and a prosperous healthy new year to
you and yours.

I sometimes wonder about my longevity lately. I had what I
believe was a TIA (transient Ischemia Attack), commonly
referred to as a mini stroke, the other day. Dr. had me get
a Carotid artery ultra sound scan - all AOK, and a Holter
monitor for 24 hours (monitors the heart) again AOK. More
Drs. appointments coming up in January.

Kinda scary when you know something happened to you but you
know not what for sure. Meanwhile I'll just keep on going
down the road.

Jay
