I am always striving to find the balance between growing plants, fish and 
algae. ;-)  With the sun shinning in you may find algae growing on the glass 
getting the most light.  It is going to take some "fiddling" to get the right 
balance of lighting and that will change with the seasons but I like the idea 
of a natural approach.  Please let us know how it works out.
I'll bet you don't have to worry about full spectrum bulbs when using the 
natural source though.
