Hi Ed, yes, I realized after I sent the message, that they were most
likely the pickup engine.  I know nothing about those.  I am curious
about their duty cycle.  As I described, the 53, 71, 92, and 149 series
diesels are essentially a continuous duty engine at full rated power,
and gasoline engines are not.  (The heavy duty application for which
the diesels are designed is electric power generation, city bus
service is considered light duty.) If you know where your diesels fit in
id be interested to find out!

I presume that this is an overwinter project.  Keep us posted with your
progress, and how she operates in the spring.  But... I have seen crucus
