-> Anyway. Sometimes when I let her out she doesn't want to come back in
-> right away... so I let her stay out (in the fenced back yard) awhile.
-> Now though when she's out Cosmo is king of the house. He goes right
-> for her chew stick and happily chews it, guarding it fiercely should I
-> look at him.. he isn't supposed to chew them too much- as in eat them
-> because he'll barf so I keep an eye on his progress.

-> Soon as Abbie is back in though he relinquishes the chew stick to her.
-> They BOTH get one but she's like that dog in Aesop's Fables...the one
-> who stole a pork chop... but while dashing over a foot bridge sees his
-> own reflection. Thinking it's another dog, opens his mouth...heh...

-> Another thing. Cosmo's alter ego comes out when I vacuum. Abbie barsk
-> at the vacuum cleaner, challenging it. Cosmo barks at her, and does a
-> very un-Cosmo like thing! He herds her away from it! Now that is
-> funny!!!

For a brief time when Cynthia was living with me we had Spanky and a
small Jack Russell Terrier.

Spanky the Pit Bull was quite the gentleman as when he was in the
recliner and Heidi would look at him in that certain way Spanlky would
relinquish the recliner to Heidi, pretty amusing to see.

Spanky as usual is his affectionate self climbing up
on the bed three or four times a day top slobber on my cheek than climb
back down.

I took the legs off a footstool so he doesn't have to struggle with the
arthritis getting up.
