I've seen several things over the years termed 'comets'. The ones I am
familair with are actually goldfish and often the 'scrunts of the litter'
type of goldfish.
I've had some that lived 10 years. Expect high loss percentages in the start
but the ones that live 6 months, live forever.
Al;ternative names I have heard: Dwarf Goldfish (get no bigger than 4
inches), jumping goldfish (use a cover!).
I know the term is used for others than goldfish, but I am not familiar with
those other types.
