This is stone age computing, useful only to fans of whatever that Streisand
movie was about musicologists and car chases (?What's up, Doc?).

Now for Powerbooks, iBooks, and presumably the new Intel ones, there's an
OSX util to turn your computer into a seismograph.  I think you get fifty
bits of amplitude resolution on last year's machines, 255 on the current
MacBooks. Not enough low-frequency response for serious work, but useful
nevertheless.
