From: "Frank Haber" >Linux Thinkpads can be controlled by knocking on them. This is stone age computing, useful only to fans of whatever that Streisand movie was about musicologists and car chases (?What's up, Doc?). Now for Powerbooks, iBooks, and presumably the new Intel ones, there's an OSX util to turn your computer into a seismograph. I think you get fifty bits of amplitude resolution on last year's machines, 255 on the current MacBooks. Not enough low-frequency response for serious work, but useful nevertheless. --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-5* Origin: Barktopia BBS Site http://HarborWebs.com:8081 (1:379/45) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 379/45 1 106/2000 633/267 |
