Subject: [drakelist] Expensive R-4C

I noticed that some R-4C rigs are selling for over $500, most over
$800... That's a lot of money... can someone explain why so much? I
have an R-4B/T-4XB pair that work well but I don't know if i'd pay $500
for both of them. Nothing against them, they were the first ham rigs I
ever had, first rigs I ever used and have sent a fair bit of CW since I
got my ham ticket - a lot of AM also but that was years ago. But what
piece of the puzzle am I missing here - why the R-4C is so expensive
nowadays? Is it that much better than the R-4B?
