In the late 1970's there were some Hams in the Louisville, Kentucky &
Southern Indiana area who operated AFSK BAUDOT and ASCII Radioteletype BBS's
on Two Meters using their Apple ][ and Atari PC's.

AX.25 Packet BBS's started up around mid-1980 in my area.
They were on VHF and HF.
