Hi Wendy,
RH> some art training which has been a help in some ways, a hinderance in
RH> others. Also have a husband who thinks I should make a pattern first.
WB> MIne thinks however I do it is fine as long as I get done what I
WB> say I'm going to do!
Well, Steve has always been more "do it by the book" than I have for the
most part.
RH> It's still in the "Almost Spring" catalog I got from them. I
WB> Yes, I think I will have to order Tom some. He'd love a tie
WB> made from it. But, how hard is a tie to make? I can get a
WB> pattern, but if it's too hard I won't do it.
A tie is really easy but this isn't really good tie fabric. Being
cotton, it doesn't have the "slipperyness" of something like silk so
it's a bit harder to tie. It can be done but something like a vest is a
better idea.
WB> His birthday is the 30th of March, so I have some time to play
WB> with it between now and then.
Go for it! They have so many cute fabrics in there but that one just
struck me as "the" one for Steve.
WB> Yes, that is what we have here, too. I'm scared to mess with
WB> his system. If I can't get onto mine, it's one thing, but if
Steve has the e-mail/internet on his so I use it for e-mail. I only do
things I'm comfortable with for the most part.
Catch you later,
Ruth
