You are aware of what it takes to provide SVGA support right? That
there are no standards for SVGA. That "no" compiler comes with direct
support for SVGA (the closest is Borland's BGI, but they don't ship SVGA
drivers with the compiler, you have to get them separately).
*My Personal Feelings, not as an employee of PowerBASIC*
I have seen a lot of complaints that PowerBASIC doesn't have this, or
doesn't have that "built-in". And while some of the complaints are
legitimate (I agree that you should be able to specify the port address
in the OPEN "COMx" line as well), others come from a lack of knowledge
about PC's and DOS. Some things just can't be done as part of the
compiler.
Because of the deadline in version 3.1, I was only able to add a few
sample units to the product. In the next major version, I'll provide a
LOT more sample source code to do many more things. Many things which
have been requested by users that cannot go into the compiler will be
provided as example source code on the disk set.
