MD>> Think so! Never heard from him again and I don't think I will. What
MD>> really gets me...is that I cannot do anything about it.
TF>I'd still seek some sort of legal recourse such as the DA's office or
TF>the Postmaster General
  I'm still on it too!
MD>>TF>If you ever do get your money back, I'll make a special deal just for
MD>> That's really sweet of you Terri, but I don't think I'll ever see that
MD>> money again.
TF>Well, whatever happens, the offer will always stand for you.
  Thanks Terri.
MD>>TF>about Alltype, be sure and ask me.
MD>> I will...thank you.
MD>> They really don't want us to be posting messages about this on the
MD>> echo. Keep Anne informed and she can E-Mail me with any further news.
TF>I think it will be okay as long as it refers to conversion to the Geos
TF>format, problems like ID #s, or using those fonts in Geos and not
TF>general questions on using the program or other formats.
Font Conversions...hey that's where we started out.
TF>Alltype was/is the only program that converts directly to the Geos
TF>format and you must select the Geoworks format under the convert to
TF>heading. The Nimbus Q and URW formats will not work. The Alltype
TF>Nimbus Q format is not compatible with the font converter in Geoworks
TF>1.x. The program I use (Fontmonger) converts to the Nimbus Q format
TF>that IS compatible with the Geos 1.x font converter (which means I also
TF>have a stripped down Geos 1.2 loaded on my hard drive just for
TF>converting fonts) and Fontmonger does convert the more complicated fonts
TF>that Alltype can't handle.
This info will come in real handy so I just keep it in my notes. I've
been a little confused using Alltype and this sure helps. I heard of
Fontmonger somewheres, (don't remember), is it still available? I
also have Geos 1.x around someplace, this is also a great idea. I
don't know how far I will go with Geos all tho' it is my very
favorite. I think Windows will be in great demand for all future
programs, unfortunately. There just won't be any choice. :(
Thanks for everything Terri and keep in touch. You'll be receiving a
message from me sooner than you think.
Maryann
