Oh, I don't know if it would be that complex. 3 different sections, 
completely dependent from the others. Passing the variables for the gold, 
etc to the other sections.

So you like Tradewars? How about this? When you land on your planet, it 
might be occupied by 4 other barrens. But you can take some of their land. 
But be sure to buy some industrial regions, because they will produce 
tanks, troopers, jets, carriers, fighter drones and mines. For 1b in gold 
you could buy a 
fighter captain to man one of your extra ships to follow you when you take 
off from the planet, and follow you around while you're trading. A little 
extra help while encountering those darn Fergengi. For 2b in gold, you may 
buy a cargo tran that will transport tanks, carriers, jets, etc so you can 
move your spare military from one planet to another to conquer more 
regions.
