Well, I have used many IDE drives on a Novell server and they are still
performing OK, but I just have never used the new Ultra DMA drives.
But last night I installed the drive in the server and it's working
fine.. though this is just a temporary thing so I can send my present
SCSI drive back for repairs...

GF>their guidelines.
Well, that is true that Novell never recommends IDE drives but they
NEVER said not to use it either... If that was the case what happenes
when we used to use the MFM/RLL drives that is even worse that IDE/EIDE.
But sure in general term SCSI beats IDE....
Thanks for your input and well appreciated.
