In the old days, HOLYSMOKE was abuzz with the quality or lack of quality
messages it has now, some downright flame fests. Depending on who you knew
or what the then moderator thought of you, you could get banned or allowed
to continue.

It is time to examine the need to allow unproductive flaming without
restricting discussion on the hot topic this echo deals with.

I guess whats important is how someone coming into the echo for the first
time this past week might view the echo? Would that person see this echo as
a place to discuss religion or would they see it as another FLAME echo, I
think it is clear that they would see it more as the latter than they would
the former..

No matter what direction I take this echo in, someone will disagree with
me, I will piss someone off, for that someone thinks they know best, whats
best for all, they are always right, it is everyone else whom is always
wrong.

Therefore until further notice, please curtail the flaming and flame
responses, until I have a chance to put in writing what will be allowed and
not allowed, some of you have tested the waters enough. Myself and my
co-moderator are guilty as charged, however change will happen and it aint
gonna happen overnight, so let this be the first step.
