Hi Donna,
RH > had me make it instead. I've got to write up a paper describing who
RH > made the gown, for who, etc and put it with the box it was heirloomed in
RH > so that future generations will have the information.
DL> Please be sure to use ACID FREE paper, and that the pen/ink used to
DL> write the information is ACID FREE.
Thanks for the information. I've been thinking of doing it on the
computer as most of my word processing is done there. Don't know what
kind of inks the printers use but could make sure I use acid free paper.
DL> You could also stitch the information somewhere on the lining of the
DL> dress, in case the paper gets lost.
I'd rather do it on a separate paper, make an extra copy and put it with
a good picture of the dress.
DL> With your nifty machine, you could let it do the stitching for you.
DL> Dress made by: Ruth Haffly, mother of the Bride.
My machine only does capital letters so I'd rather do it on paper.
DL> Personally, if I was doing this, I would put it in the mid-section so
DL> that it wouldn't be lost to any alterations, if used again.
DL> May have to have it "reprocessed" to remove your fingerprints/oils.
Thanks for the ideas; I don't really want to have to pay the cost of
reprocessing tho ($150.) as it's a good bit of money.
Catch you later,
Ruth
