Hello John Lake!  I, too, am a volunteer dispatcher for a fire
department here in Arizona.  How big is your department?  How much area
do you cover?  What type of calls do you respond to?  Our department
covers about 120 sq. miles in the desert.  It consists of 6 paid
personell, and about 12 to 14 volunteers (at this time).  Most of our
calls are medical with auto accidents being #2.  We cover 10 -15 miles
of I-40 and about 20 miles  of a state highway, a small community and
