| subject: | Re: Infoworld folds print magazine |
From: Gary Britt Somebody gave me a subscription to PC Mag and the last issue was more akin to a free computer user group thing it was so thin and useless. Computer Shopper stopped being what it was many years ago. Several years ahead of PC Mag's demise. The Ziff boys sure did know when to dump that magazine. They cashed out on top and the mag has been in continual decline ever since. Computer shopper instead of the reams of ads for parts and do it yourselfers is nothing but a few retread advertisements that you have to pay to look at. Its even more of a joke than PC Mag. PC Mag might be able to continue as an internet site, but they need to go the free route, lure people there with their articles and utilities and just sell ads online.
