Replying to a message of BOB KLAHN to CINDY HAGLUND: CH>> IE: I telnet with Telix for Windows, have been for about 10 CH>> years now. hehehe.. This program is a dinosaur yes and CH>> maybe I am too. But the program works. I like it. ala "When CH>> it ain't broke, don't fix it". BK> That thinking has kept me behind the leading edge for a long BK> time. And I still live by it. Heh. Bet I'm farther behind it than you are. This box is a 486, my 'main' box downstairs is a Pentium 100 (IBM PC350). I just took an old Gateway box (literally, just the case) and added a PS and a motherboard Dave Calafrancesco sent me - it has a 200Mhz AMD 686 processor, I'll finish resurrecting it sometime this week - I have boxes of IDE HDs, floppies and CD (read) drives - and all sorts of OS's (except M$ types) I can put on it. One thing I don't have around here is a HD for an IBM PS/1. The thing doesn't use a standard HD but has a special proprietary setup. Somebody gave me a PS/1 complete except for the HD and I'd like to get that up and running too. --- FleetStreet 1.19+* Origin: Bob's Boneyard, Emerson, Iowa (1:300/3) SEEN-BY: 10/1 3 11/201 14/300 34/999 90/1 106/1 120/228 123/500 134/10 140/1 SEEN-BY: 222/2 226/0 236/150 249/303 261/20 38 100 1381 1404 1406 1418 SEEN-BY: 266/1413 280/1027 320/119 633/260 262 267 712/848 801/161 189 SEEN-BY: 2222/700 2320/100 2905/0 @PATH: 300/3 14/5 140/1 261/38 633/260 267 |
