Re: Car for seniors By: Shawn Highfield to Allen Prunty on Wed Dec 26 2007 11:23 am > Hello Allen! > > to hear you actually got ford to buy that POS back... Almost never hear abou > it working out in favour of the little guy. It's our new car lemon law... most states have one... if a new car has x amount of major repairs in x amount of time then it's declaired a lemon and the manufacturer must buy it back. In this case in 9 months she had 3 major transmission problems... it got bought back. I thought I would buy a Daewoo because they were cheap and I thought they would be as good as the Kia's when they were new. I had three repairs before it got 12000 miles on it where the car was out of service for more than 3 months each time waiting for parts. I argued the NCLL (New car Lemon Law) and won it... of course Daewoo went out of business and ultimately the dealer had to eat it.... bottom line is I will never buy a car from a startup car company again.
