subject: Diving in Canada.

Hi Stan.
-> DC>here in Barrie, Ontario. And at the completion of my course we are
-> going DC>to Tobermory, Ontario. The Divers that I know from around
-> here also go DC>to the Severn River, and to St Catharines to mentioin
-> a few places. DC>These are all in Ontario, Canada.
-> DC>Have you ever been diving here in Canada?
...
-> We don't dive in ice water down here in Florida. Went out yesterday
-> and the water was 75 degrees, not too bad.
->
-> Did a little scouting around as Stone Crab season just opened up.

The water is not always so cold here. It can be warm enough during the
summer to dive without wetsuit. As for ICE well that is specialized
diving (overhead enviroment) and many divers in the area enjoy ice
diving every year. There are many interesting places to dive here
(Ontario) often the temp here will be colder then Florida but with the
proper equipment (wetsuit or drysuit) you can stay warm during the dive.
And the visibility in many places here may be less then what you usually
get in Florida, but it makes for a much more adventureus and fun dive
when you can't see what is a few feet away from you. Visibility is
improving in many areas here because of zebra muscles.
Where do you usually dive?
Type to you later
