Sunday news update: Foley wrestles last night in surprise, Walking
Tall box office, World-1 tour, CZW big show w/Teddy Hart vs. returning
Acid, Coleman vs. Fedor? and much more

We're looking for reports on last night's Smackdown show in Mobile as
well as the Raw show in Monterrey, as well as today's Raw show in
Laredo and Smackdown show in Dothan, AL at dave{at}wrestlingobserver.com.

in Houston from a live perspective with the non-Raw matches and

--Walking Tall is being estimated at doing a $15.3 million first
weekend. I'm not sure what the expectations were going in to know how
this is being taken. The reviews for the movie have generally been
bad.

--Mick Foley wrestled last night at the Rutgers University show in
Newark before 1,173 fans. It was unadvertised, starting as Jerry
Lawler vs. Al Snow with Foley in one corner and Coach in the other.
They joined in and made it a tag match Short Sleeve Sampson b Little
Killa, Jeff Starr b Jay Lethal, Corvis Fear & Rush (managed by Scott
Chong of Tough Enough III) NC Tony Adonis & Texas Outlaw when Primo
Carnera III beat up all four on orders from Jonathan Coachman, Julio
Dinero b Johnny Heartbreaker, Dusty Rhodes b Simon Diamond, Xavier b
Amazing Red, Lawler & Foley b Coachman & Snow (thanks to Michael
O'Brien and Nick Kivich)

--No U.K. Smackdown edits this week. They even had Bradshaw plug his
Fox News appearance, which aired in the U.K. before Smackdown aired

4/8 in Pottstown PA at Academy Hall has Dustin Rhodes vs. Justin
Credible, Masato Tanaka & Homicide vs. C.M. Punk & C.W. Anderson, Josh
Daniels & Matt Striker vs. Christopher Street Connection to decide the
World 1 tag titles, Spanky vs. Ikuto Hidaka, Low Ki vs. Minoru Fujita
and Steve Corino vs. Kohei Sato. 4/9 in Quarryville, PA at the Hoffman
Building on the Solanco Fairgrounds has Tanaka & Guillotine LeGrande

Wild Cards & Ultramantis & Hallowicked, H8 Club won tag team gauntlet
match and then beat Rebel's Army to win tag titles, B.J. Whitmer b
Jimmy Jacobs, Chris Cash won three-way over Nick Berk and Grim Reefer,
Joker b Jon Dahmer, Dan Maff b Arik Cannon, Sonjay Dutt won three-way
over Petey Williams and Roderick Strong to keep jr. title, Ruckus &

main event when Zandig threw a chair to Hart to set up a Van Daminator

--While this isn't official until it's announced, apparently Mark
Coleman was telling people that he was asked to fight Fedor
Emelianenko in the first round of the Pride Grand Prix on 4/25. Pride
may change this five times in the next week of course.
