*** Quoting Cindy Haglund from a message to Roger Nelson *** RN> Bob doesn't get the same cold we get. His is dryer. CH> Er um. Roger? :) You've been in the South too long. At 16 CH> degrees the air is gonna be try. I may be wrong and welcome CH> correction but can the air be wet at 16 degrees ??? (F). I'm not CH> sure. I am not totally sure if Your statement is right or wrong... I think it may be in the way we would measure the dryness of the air. For example.. with that little storm I was heckling You about, that brought the bad storm from Texas last weekend. During the storm, it was about 17 degrees, but the humi dity was at 98% ( I only know this as I was keeping track of the storm with weatherbug on the computer. ) However the dewpoint was real low, I think 7. In the summer even if the humidity is lower, if the dewpoint is high, it is awful sticky up here in the north. During the cold months, I found out last weekend, You CAN have cold temps, but that humidity was real high at 98%. It might depend on what measurement you use to determine the dryness of the air. humidity or dewpoint. I dunno, not being a meteorologist or even a meteorologist wannabe. Mike ...
