Given US naval exercises, have recent Iranian actions rendered the mouth of
the shat al arab into a no go area for the USN due to "raised
sensitivities"?


I.e. if US 100 armed landing craft & possibly hovercraft turned up to
patrol the area who would believe it was just part of the
"exercise" ?

& yet this is the only outlet of Iraq to the sea......so why wouldn't
the USN want to carry out exercises in the only piece of "Iraqi littoral"?
