RS> When I was 40 or 50 years younger and was riding my Harley 74 and
RS> came up to a Red Light that had the treadle for chnging I would stop
RS> so that my left foot was over the treadle plate and with my Cycle
RS> Boot just stomp on that sucker. Worked every time.
Unfortunately, most sensors today for traffic lights are not treadles that
feel the weight of a vehicle but rather sense the magnetic flux of a few
thousand pounds of steel. Even if it were super-sensitive and a steel
bicycle would set it off, my Cannondale doesn't stand a chance. Only steel
there is the chain, as far as I know.
