Eudora -- at least any reasonably new version -- has the ability to send mail
through a different remailer via SMTP than the POP3 host used to receive
il.

I've never had any trouble running BackupExec and Mercury together. You may
need to watch the load order, and you may also need to manually "Set Minimum
Packet Receive Buffers = 300" in STARTUP.NCF. I can't recall if I have ever
configured this on 3.11, but certainly it works on 3.12.
Personally, I think Exchange is awful. I would sooner configure Sendmail
from scratch on Unix than try to get Exchange working properly. For whatever
reason, Exchange often just goes off and does things without any explanation
or rational reason for doing them.
