But I don't quite get what's being planned here. A movie of "Lensmen", 
even if you left out "Triplanetary" and "First
Lensmen", would be as 
pointless as a movie of the Forsyte Saga, or the entire Sherlock Holmes 
canon. Those are four long, highly episodic books. Even four films would 
involve massive cuts.

Of course, the story that I read made complete hash of the plot of 
"Lensmen" (made it sound like "The Arisian's Quest for the Lens, as 
Witnessed by Kimball Kinnison"), so perhaps it made complete hash of the 
situation, too.
