Althought I have not used a C line here at my QTH, I can honestly say that
without the NB on my drake rigs I can not operate. I have power line
trash from somewhere. It is ofter S9 and changes some with the weather. I
have tried to locate the junk, but best I can tell it comes in from my
friendly power and light company.

I have had the TR3, with a Drake added NB, the B line and the 7 line, all
of which would not have worked on some days without the NB. I had a 2B,
w/o NB, and about 50% of the time I could not use it. I have had some
Kenwood and Icom equiment [please don't run me off the list :-) ] and they
never could beat the noise like the Drakes could [okay I feel better now
;-) ].

The type of noise I have is something like the sound of rain hitting a
metal roof, only not as defined. That is more mixed with what one would
think was random noise. But trip the NB, and the S9 goes to an S3 or
less. I personally could not operate without the Drake NB.

73,
Ron
