Hello Stan.
-
-> I myself have not taken the NITROX course but from what I understand
-> there is something like a definate depth of 135 ft as oxygen toxicity
-> will result.
->
-> There are different Nitrox mixes for different depths.
->
-> But if you use Nitrox for your lesser depths, say 80 ft, then you can
-> increase bottom time and as a benifit of more 02 and less nitrogen
-> you will feel less tired from your diving.
-
 Yes certian mixes are good for certain deptphs but there are also
mixes that should NEVER be used at certain depth, as I have not taken
the corse I am unfamilar with the specifics of that. I knew longer
bottom time was a benntifit as well. Know that I think about it I
belive the point I was attempting to make about depth was that since
your bottom time increases, then deeper dives can be longer and more
enjoyable, and not that NITROX allows greater depths to be achived, as
it does NOT.
-
-> So where do you dive?
-
Well I am just starting (Open Water) my first dives are and will be
here in Barrie, Ontario. And at the completion of my course we are going
to Tobermory, Ontario. The Divers that I know from around here also go
to the Severn River, and to St Catharines to mentioin a few places.
These are all in Ontario, Canada.
Have you ever been diving here in Canada?
I have only noticed one other Canadian (or person who is currently in
Canada) in this echo so far.
Type to you later
