Dear Ruth,
You must be kidding to suggest that i do anything with a sewing
machine that can
be avoided. I thought you knew, sewing machines hate
me. Woops, i don't know how to fix that gap, so i'll let it go.
My friend is a hair dresser, but though she is somewhat ambidextrous,
you need two hands for that. THey have given her hope that someday, she
will be able to return to her profession. meantime she is thinking up
all sorts of fun things to so while she is recovering. She is an
inspiration.
I was using the sewing machine today, putting together some
water carrier bags out of leather. They will hide 'make middle ages'
those sports drink bottles. I use all recycled leather for my work.
These are a sleeve cut off with a circle sewn at the cuff and a strap
attached. If i sew them by hand i have to prepunch all the holes
first-a really big tiresome job.
NO, i don't think i will be photographing any of my work. When i
have tried that in the past, it turned out poorly and even the good ones
we never look at again.
Getting late, must get on to the game or i will lose my turn for
today.
Shalom, ll
