Hi Vicki,
GP> Hi Ruth, yep, I still have all of our critters, and I enjoy not having
GP> to milk but miss beging around them all day. I do love my job and
Who takes care of the farm while you work?
GP> Did your daugher marry the young guy from Edmond? Our son is still
No, daughter #1 married her high school boyfriend; best man was from
Edmond. He and daughter #2 are now in a serious relationship; no talk
of a wedding but they sound more and more serious all the time.
GP> single but he graduated from OU, went into the military, and has a
 GP> girlfriend down in Louisiana.
Is your son at Fort Polk? We've not been there yet in our military
career; been mostly southwest and Europe.
GP> Your sewing sounds like tons of work--would take me a lifetime to do
GP> all of that but then I'm called "vicki Stewart" at work--they are
 GP> amazed
GP> that I raise a garden, can, dip candles, spin, weave, etc.
I don't have a garden (put in a few tomato plants diferent years but
that's about it) but I do can. I'm also Sunday School Director of a
growing church--keeps me busy. Sewing is something I picked up on years
ago; it's (for the most part) not hard. It's also portable; I've used
it as a money maker wherever we've lived. Rachel was going to buy her
wedding dress until she saw THE pattern; I think she's overall glad she
had me make it instead. I've got to write up a paper describing who
made the gown, for who, etc and put it with the box it was heirloomed in
so that future generations will have the information.
GP> Where are all of the spinners and weavers? Did they all go to another
GP> echo? So far, you are the only one to answer and I know there has to
A lot of people are on the internet groups now; I don't want to take the
time to get into that, as well as Fido. We did branch off into a Sew
and Quilt, a Cross Stitch and a beadwork echos.
GP> be more of you good people out there. Are you going to the Md Sheep
 GP> and
 GP> Wool Festival in May?
If I had the $$$ and it weren't graduation month (read company) I'd
consider it. As is, we're planning our first trip back east since we've
been here (except a few TDY's for Steve) for this summer. We were going
to go last year but a wedding changed those plans.
GP> We have IBM computers now--also the old Commodores but hubby has
GP> really "gone modern". ha Write when you can. Vicki Parrish
Is there an outlet for the old Commodores? I'd really like to free up
some space around here, maybe keep one system for our (eventual)
grandchildren.
Catch you later,
Ruth
