Seems to be a mix of reasons for intolerance at least one > of them being exposure. I'm not trying to argue but it would seem in CS> Ovr hundreds of generations. Think of it this way. It is natural to CS> become lactose intolerant as one ages. Eurpeans though, with a wider You know what? I was thinking this same thing... yeah it makes sense dosen't it? What other animal past infancy actually drinks milk? Only humans do because most humans are self destructive in the way of what their body needs and what their tastbuds want. Other critters get their calcium and other nutrients from other sources. Milk and dairy products is just an easier source to sell to conditioned to hate veggies human tastebuds keeping the Dairy Industry alive... heh. Yeah it always boils down to that. Money! Oh wait a second there... One might say: But but but what about the veggie industry? Ah well there's enough humans who DO like veggies to keep THAT going. If only the ones who hate the veggies would stop eating so much junk they might get hungry enough to appreciate veggies and oh yes please learn how to cook them so they DO taste good. I feel a rant coming on. SO I'll stop now. :) CS> exposure over thousands of years, genetically selected for people able CS> to handle it at older ages. Those who could, could take advantage of I agree. CS> It's also true that native Americans and Native Australians have a CS> lower tolerance for a high sugar diet and tend to diabetes. You dont CS> fix that by feeding them more sugar. Eating too much due to western CS> diet is the cause, not the solution Yep. A lot of what has to do with tolerance has to do with what we're used to. SOme people adapt and some don't. You know what drives me up a wall? Is how right off the bat and right away !!! Our Society gets babies hooked on high sugar.... asap! It's like a drug. I think everybody knows what I mean so I won't rant about it.... I have one tiny little story to relate though that supports my supposition of how people will heat healthy properly cooked foods if and when they lay off the cr#pola (fast food/empty calorie snacks) LONG enough...heh. After a gymnastics class, my daughter at the age 8 at the time had had NO snacks that afternoon.. after school... she was STARVING. Guess what! Not only did she eat her portion of chicken and potatoes but she helped herself to TWO servings of properly steam cooked broccoli.... Now if she had filled up on junkola before hand what do you think she'd eat at dinner? ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, CS> Simple normal things like brie, gouda, etc. Hey. How about aged swiss and aged romano/parm :) Moz? I've noticed this. In the grocery store where you by the more commonly sold cheeses are so bland it's amazing anyone. I've read "Most Americans' prefer bland food? Salty/sweet/bleah... huh? What? Not me! Cind ...
