From: "Rich Gauszka"
I've read the threads on the Macbook shutdowns. It seemed to have been
divided into two camps - older Macbooks with flawed logic boards and
Macbooks that needed a firmware update. Unfortunately my firmware is up to
date and my Macbook is new. I did plug the USB fans on my notebook cooler
into a separate power source/hub yesterday and noticed that the hub got a
bit warm with the fans on. The Macbook didn't shutdown yesterday so I'm
hoping that may have been the problem.
