You never maintained a work history long enough to have qualified for them.

SSI derives its funding from the General Fund, meaning TAXES collected and
the ilk, the Social Security Administration merely runs it.

Otoh, Wayne Chirnside is paid from SSDI, which he qualified for because he
maintained a sufficient amount of time in the workforce.
