NB>> Do you get the lovely resplendent colors for fall...? That always
NB>> makes up for a lot in autumn for me... :) We can get some
NB>> breath-taking displays... ;)
PH> Yes, it does depend on the areas in the country you live in as some
PH> parts of New Zealand are well known for their autumn colours. Central
PH> Otago (about 2 hours drive from where I live) has a place called
PH> Arrowtown that looks magical at this time of the year.
Likewise. The Adirondack region of New York State, along with Vermont
and New Hampshire, draws crowds to drink in the splendor in the
autumn... ;) Here in Rochester, one sees single trees that are
gorgeous, but not the panaramic colours... :)
PH>> Golly it's strange to hear of the opposite but quite fun to chat
PH>> about it with someone from the other side of the globe ;)
NB>> Yup, certainly strange, like barbies for Christmas and I don't mean the
NB>> dolls... ;) It is fun to talk to friends from the other hemisphere,
PH> Yep I know what you mean. For me it seems strange to think of winter /
PH> cold etc. during Christmas. For me it's a time to swim in the sea and
PH> go camping in the sun.
All in what one has grown up with.. ;)
NB>> quite in agreement there... :) We have missionaries in Uruguay,
NB>> where the seasons are like yours... they have their summer vacation
NB>> Bible schools in December, of course... :) Always seems a bit
NB>> strange, but a second thought puts it straight.. ;)
PH> Golly you have a well travel bunch of Fido friends. I'm in good
PH> company!
Well, those aren't Fido friends, those are from church... ;) But I do
have Fido friends from all over, too... :) It's one of the fun things
about Fido (and other nets)... :)
