I'm already doing that! Mine! Mine! Mine! Seriously, I'd love to, and I
think we could just work on keeping joint ownership. Maybe I could
market an extended version or something. It's not like I'm planning on
making a fortune with it, so I'd say we should do some pizzaware! (I'd
go for beerware, but I'd have to wait 4.5 years... Also, for
programming, maybe we should have Jolt-Ware?) [NOTE to everyone who just
went "Huh? What the heck is he talking about": beer/pizzaware - use it,
send the author enough for a pizza or some beer) Anyway, if we can agree
on a few people to keep control of it, I'd be all for joint developement
of a spectacular mailer/bbs package. I'd like to have 2-3 people who
decide on major changes, so we don't end up with 3 different,
incompatible, copies what it is called the same software... I'll post
some FTS-1 mailer code soon. Right now, we need to extend Xmodem (Add
1k-4k packets, SEAlink mode, etc), create Ymodem, Zmodem (Extended to
ZedZap 8k packets), Janus, etc protocals. Any takers? We need some VERY
fast CRC/CRC-32 code, any asm gurus out there?

Yeah - PB/X Term - The COMPLETE BBS Graphics interface - RIP done right!
Also, a modern message format has a LOT to do with a good database, so
we could share code/ideas!
Also, we'll need some interpreter code for things like scripts. Also, a
fast ANSI emulator. I'm working on this!
LG> We could start with Ed Parry's EBBS v1.54 (public domain BBS written in
LG> PowerBASIC) and work from there.
I'd reccommend just starting from scratch. EBBS is too focused in what
he wanted, and changing it like that could cause problems...
Anyway, asap, I'll post FTS-1 mailer code and work on EMSI. I should be
able to start a BBS here, so pretty soon I'll be able to have some 24hr
FREQable code, files, etc. Until then, if needed, I'll try to get my
bossnode to store it for you. Also, before we start on designing
anything like interfaces, let's get a round-robin going! Let's get that
CC: netmail flying! (And if this gets to be going to well, we'd probably
have to start an echo, but I doubt that will happen for awhile).
... No technique works if it isn't used.
