Hi Sylvia,
SL> I15 is the main road running north and south through Utah. Goes right
 SL> alternate
SL> routes (pitiful as they are) will also be redone at the same time.
SL> What wonderful planning by our governer and legislature. They knew
Beauocracy at its' finest!
SL> Now that is a novelty! After not buying any fabric for 4 months, I
SL> have more than made up for it! A couple of the quilt shops had $1.00
SL> a yard sales, and I couldn't pass that up. Another shop, Morman
SL> Handicraft, is going to have to move to a new location (LDS church is
Sounds like you had a fun time. I love those "yard sales". Last year
at Wal-Mart I got some from their $1.00/yard, as is table. The first
few yards were flawed so the saleslady unrolled the bolt completely and
we were able to get the yardage I needed, unflawed, from the "wrong"
end. I made a skirt for about $4.00 that would have cost about $12.00
had it been good material.
SL> supplies because they don't know if they will have as large a location

Is it near the big temple now?
SL> 60% off. And everything else at 20% off. I am trying to limit my
SL> fabric purchases to only those fabrics that I have a specific project
SL> in mind. I am trying not to buy fabric just because I love the print.
Yeah, right! I think we all have to yield to our impulses every so
often. (G)
SL> I like the exchanges for something to piece when I just GOTTA PIECE!
SL> I think that if you need a break from the wedding sewing, you could
 SL> whip
SL> up a block and not join the exchange. Just ask not to be included for
SL> the drawing. I am sure that the winner wouldn't mind one more block.
If I need a break, I'll pick up cross stitch or a book. I like the
variety. After the wedding sewing is done, I've got several sewing
projects lined up. I cut out several vests a couple of months ago that I
want to do, some scrappy quilt tops, etc, etc. I'll think about the
exchange but right now it's beyond me.
SL> each RH>of them in their own bag. The key to this whole thing is
 SL> organisation!
SL> I am not that organized. I wish that I were, and I try to do better,
SL> but lose track of my plans. I had cleaned off my cutting table last
SL> week, and it needs it again.
With a project of this magnitude, I need to be more organised than I
usually am. I had thought we would be moving this spring so I started
getting my sewing stuff better organised than it had been. The move was
cancelled; with the wedding, I'm just as glad it was, but I still need
to think about keeping stuff together.
Instead of using my cutting table, when I cut out 2 of the bridesmaid's
dresses this week, I borrowed a couple of 6 foot long tables from our
church. A friend had a long spare room that we set them up in, end to
end. It made laying out/cutting from a 24 yard piece and a 30 yard roll
much more convenient. Plus, there were a lot of books in that room; I
grabbed some to use as weights so the fabric wouldn't slip off the
tables.
Catch you later,
Ruth
