Despite Charles' best arguments, Irex is still a DOS program running in a DOS window and Windows doesn't update the screen as fast as the timer display. This problem is made worse by having other DOS windows open. I just don't worry about it. The only difference it makes is that the CPU load is (significantly) higher than it would be if Irex were a true windows program. Cheers...
