Hogs being the salient exception here.  While hogs don't eat *only* meat, like
carnivores, they will eat it.  The Farmer's Almanac article I noted said that
hogs will eat spoiled meat, spoiled milk, very wilted vegetables, etc. and
consider all of the preceding a special treat.
