Well I am not too far from Scarborough, I live in Barrie.  Barrie is
about half an hour north of Toronto.  There are a few places to dive in
Barrie in the Bay, We even have a reck "The Morrison" (may be spelled
wrong) an old paddle boat.

Well we have lots of beaches, they are all on bays and lakes but we have
quite a  lot of large lakes many with intersting dive sites.  And with
access to Georgian Bay and the Great lakes we have a large number of
interesting  sites.  The water does warm up in the summer.  As for how I
 could dive here well with a wet suit or preferably a dry suit. and all
the accessoryies ie mitts, boots etc.  The exposed skin is a bit of your
face and forehead.  I know a few local divers that also enjoy ice
diving.
