He was regularly posting on GEnie and CompuServe back when he was 
writing "The Real Ghostbusters". I remember not only when he publicly 
announced B5, but when he publicly announced "Captain Power", back in '87.

But this group only came into being around 1996. Before that, Joe posted 
on rec.arts.sf.tv.babylon5, and before that, I believe he posted on 
alt.tv.babylon-5.
