Hello Lee. That is an interesting comment, and it begs a question. If what you
are saying is true, then why did God give the two tablets of stone to Moses?
Why did He give us the scrolls and parchments of the Old and the New
Testaments?

The answer in my mind is quite obvious. Both Jesus and the Apostle Paul made
the answer clear when they said:

"And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to
thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me,
that they may be one, as we are . . . That they all may be one; as thou,
Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the
world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me
I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:"
John 17:11, 21-22, KJV

"Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye
all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that
ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment."
1 Corinthians 1:10, KJV

And there are many other verses in the Bible which promote the importance of
spiritual unity.

Obviously, it is impossible to have spiritual unity when not everyone is
following the same book; so in His Divine Wisdom, God chose to give us one
book, the Bible, and not two or three or four or five.

Imagine if the U.S. Constitution did not exist, and each state and city was
able to make their own laws as they saw fit. Without a common model to follow
-- the U.S. Constitution -- it would lead to total anarchy in a relatively
short period of time.

Or imagine if there was no drivers manual, and each state and city could
write their own manual, as they saw fit. Imagine the chaos and death which
would result as people engaged in interstate travel, and the driving laws
changed with each border that they crossed.

So again, God chose to give us His Word in one Book, the Bible, as a means to
unite us in faith and purpose.

As I point out in my articles, I am convinced that Satan is the author of
confusion. He is the one who has given the world so many false religions and
false religious texts, because he purposely wants to confuse people, so that
they don't know what to believe in, or so that they become so blindly
dedicated to a false religion, that when the truth comes along in their life
-- Jesus Christ -- they reject their chance at Salvation.

Think about it.
