Rookie Clint Bowyer was sensational at the Talladega Superspeedway when he
earned his first career NASCAR Busch Series pole.  The Richard Childress
Racing driver turned a lap at 51.972 seconds to be the best of the 45 Busch
cars attempting to qualify for Saturday's Aaron's 312 race.

The Reese's Chevrolet set a speed of 184.253 miles per hour around the
2.66-mile high-banked oval, the fastest track on the schedule.
