I don't know what Newt said, but I'm sure it was seriously distorted by the
mainstream media. Though he originally hails from this area, and as a
result they tend to be just a tad more sympathetic than most.
What bugs me, though, is how often a government, *any* government,
decides that they are gonna take somebody's kids away from them. You don't
see this happening with crack babies born to mothers that can't even be
bothered with welfare, but to others, whoever presents a target of
opportunity.
I have three grandkids, all girls. Two of them are seven years old, the
other just a few months. I have to keep the way that some things might
possibily be misinterpreted in mind during my interactions with them.
That bugs me, a lot...
It shouldn't have to be that way!
