I think I also increased the page size under Preferences in addition to
increasing the number of handles.  You might also try the wait/post on
and off.  It's been a while since I had this problem and if I don't
write things down.......

I figure you will have to start over from scratch with your database.
Salvage.exe works only with text.  It might save the text from your
database entries but there will be no way to reorganize the text to a
form you could import again.  Let us know what you come up with.
